Tips for Affording a
Disney Christmas Vacation
(or ANY vacation)!
Our Christmas in July series inspired many clients to start planning holiday vacations. So many friends and clients have asked me,
“How can you afford to go to Disney every year?!?”
Honestly, it’s a planning process that starts the week after I come home from one trip; when that Disney magic is still in my heart and my children are still beaming and chattering about their wonderful experience.
How does my plan start?
I pick a date for the next year and book it. It’s only a $200 deposit and that is easy enough. I have honestly booked two trips for the year after before I ever left the park! Every pay day, I bought a Disney gift card at Walgreens- for however much money I had extra to spend that week. Sometimes it was $20 and sometimes it was $200- depending on my financial needs at the time. When kids birthdays roll around, when the Easter Bunny visits, when children lose a tooth- they receive a Disney gift card. Family members never have to ask what my children want for any occasion- Disney gift cards are ALWAYS welcome! Christmas Stockings always have a $100 Disney card in them. This allows the kids to feel in charge of their purchases, able to afford the fancy cupcakes or treasured toy they have their eye on while in the Parks. My husband and I never purchase Christmas presents for one another. We plan on giving our family memories every year- and honestly, that is the absolute best gift we could ever afford to give!
The other amazing factor about planning your Disney trip a year in advance is that as your VIP Travel Designer, I can set up a payment plan especially designed for your pay cycles and financial needs. You receive automatic notifications when payments are due and can always pay later, or earlier- with no penalties or interest.
So what are you waiting for? These COVID days have been long, lonely and stressful. The parks are back open and full of the magic and memories they have always offered.
