“People don’t take trips, trips take people.”~ John Steinbeck
Christina is the wife and mom to four self-proclaimed nerds who spend their free time exploring the hidden gems of Florida, searching for the best coffee shops and bookstores (bonus they are combined), reading classics, discovering new podcasts, and playing Harry Potter Trivia as a family.
Their family vacations usually focus on history, culture, and educational experiences as well as relaxing and soaking in the destination. When not on vacation, she is a consument learner who enjoys learning about new technology skills, recipes, cultures, and productivity tools.
Favorite Destination: Christina loves finding hidden experiences that most tourists never know about when visiting a new place and immersing herself with the locals. Her favorite destinations have been Southern Brazil where she spent three months exploring beaches and mountains, and the Netherlands. She’ll never turn down a trip to the beach, but she may try to find the fabled pirate coves or read a book about that destination in a cabana.
She was born into a family of wanders, and has loved traveling since she was young. While in college Christina was able to spend three weeks in the Netherlands where she felt like a local exploring Amsterdam and Utrecht. It was her first solo trip, and she loved every moment of it. Shopping the local markets, taking canal ferries, visiting museums, and meeting locals in the web cafes were some of her favorite memories.
After college, Christina spent three months in Florianopolis, and Curitiba in the Southern part of Brazil where she fell in love with Samba and Pao de Queijo (AkA Brazi Bites). She spent Carnival at a beach resort and have dreams of retiring to that island ever since.
After having a family, she spent most vacations visiting Orlando, and loved it so much that she moved there! There is so much more than just theme parks (though they enjoy those a lot), She loves exploring the beach towns, natural springs, and all the quaint small towns here in Florida.
