By now you have no doubt you are feeling the stress and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. We have been working around the clock for weeks, in an ever-changing environment, to keep our clients calm, change or cancel their trips as needed and offer advice on the best ways to proceed.
A common question we have received in the last week is “Should I cancel my vacation this summer?”
Here is a very easy answer: No.
The current theory is that we should be able to move past the worst of the virus and the spreading in the next couple of months. If you are traveling in May or later, hold tight. The cruise lines and resorts are being very fair, so we have some time to see how each trip is handled. Jumping the gun to cancel now may not yield you the best refund or protection. Suppliers are working on immediate departures within the next 3 weeks only. Most travel scheduled beyond that point is not covered under the new flexible cancellation/change policies. So, just wait it out for now to see if this ever changing situation will affect your trip.
