Feeling Like Fall Color
How far will you go to find a pile of freshly-fallen fall leaves to jump into this autumn? We recommend considering vacations spots close to home, as well as those a bit farther away. The key to a great vacation is finding yourself able to escape the routine – the ordinary. Our top recommendations for autumn get-aways may lead you to a region you have yet to explore, or they may provide inspiration to simply spend more time in a place you love, close to home.
O Canada!
Prepare to venture to the True North! Just up ahead, there’s our border with our friendly neighbor, Canada! Canada offers a fall foliage vacation that features dramatic viewing spots in and around popular cities like Toronto, Montreal, Québec City, and Halifax. Cruise along the Niagara River Highway, or walk the Bruce hiking trail in Ontario. Say ‘Bonjour” to Montreal and its art, architecture, and gardens. Warm waters of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence give storybook Prince Edward Island a relatively moderate climate and help create one of the longest fall foliage periods in northeastern North America. Québec is famous for its autumn colors because of the sugar maple trees its yellow birch and the American beech. Meander the city’s cobblestones streets, marvel at the majesty of the gorgeous Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. The most-photographed hotel in the world is a perfect destination for romance!
New England
Nashua, Newport, Nantucket . . . Where would you like to escape to this Fall? We can custom design an itinerary that allows you and and your family to travel together to take in the sights of this great American region and season. Simple pleasures; seafood, shopping and strolling cool, windswept beaches, are why people have been coming to Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard to vacation in the off-season for years in the cool of autumn. Dive through Vermont and new Hampshire’s quaint covered bridges; stop at an orchard for famous apple cider doughnuts and honey crisp apples. Cruise along ocean drives with stunning views of the Maine coastline. Dinner will feature lobster, of course!
Reds and Golds in the Blue Ridge Mountains
We have had many clients stay at The Omni Grove Park Inn. The Asheville, NC area, and the welcoming staff at The Grove Park Inn invite you to relax, rejuvenate and to breathe in the clean mountain air of the Great Smoky Mountains. Enjoy music and fine dining in downtown Asheville, tour the home of America’s “royal” family at the Biltmore House, or spend all of your vacation on the 3000 miles of hiking trails in the area. Fall color abounds in the Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and along the Blue Ridge Parkway!
